July 9, 10 & 11, 2010

The Thunder Bay Blues Society
presented
Blues In The Schools
on June 10 and 11
for local students at St. Patrick High School Auditorium.

Jack de Keyzer (with Gary Kendall) presented an educational and highly entertaining  75 minutes

They performed and explored the history of blues guitar from the 1930's acoustic blues of Robert Johnson
(blues, ragtime, swing, Lonnie Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller),
1940's (Charlie Christian, T-Bone Walker, the birth of the electric blues/jazz guitar),
1950's (BB King, Muddy Water, Chuck Berry)
and finally to the 1960's (Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix).
