ATTENTION: THUNDER BAY BLUES ARTISTS & FANS
THE INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE
is coming to
THUNDER BAY
Held every January on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, the International Blues Challenge (IBC) is the world's largest gathering of blues acts. The result of a search by The Blues Foundation & its Affiliated Organizations for the top Blues Band and Solo/Duo Blues Act, the IBC brings together blues musicians from around the world to compete for cash, prizes and industry recognition. In 2012, the 28th IBC, over 200 bands sponsored by local Blues Societies will compete.
For more information on the IBC: http://www.blues.org/#ref=ibc_index
Starting in March, on the last Friday of each month, the TBBS will hold a competition at The Apollo Bar between 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm. The audience and the Blues Society judging panel will vote on the best act of the evening, culminating in a final competition in the fall of 2012. The lucky winner will compete, all expenses paid, at the 2013 IBC in Memphis, TN.
