on June 10 and 11, 2010
for local students at St. Patrick High School Auditorium.
Jack de
Keyzer (with Gary Kendall) presented an educational and highly
entertaining 75 minutes
"Evolution
of Blues Guitar from Robert Johnson to Jimi Hendrix".
They
performed and explored the history of blues guitar from the 1930's acoustic blues
of Robert Johnson
(blues, ragtime, swing, Lonnie Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller),
1940's (Charlie Christian, T-Bone Walker, the birth of the electric blues/jazz
guitar),
1950's (BB King, Muddy Water, Chuck Berry)
and finally to the 1960's
(Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix).
